Forge paths through ruins.Walk into the wilds.

We begin with questions that remain insufficiently answered, then build assumptions, models and evidence that can withstand criticism and be tested again by others.

Current research: Shye

01 / Identity

Research comes before answers.

Miroon Research is the frontier-computing research division of Miroon Studio. We work on questions that have no standard answer yet but deserve precise description.

Research frames questions, builds evidence and states the limits of its claims. When an outcome becomes mature enough, Studio can support its engineering and productisation. The two share values while carrying responsibility for different stages.

Miroon Research mark

Miroon Research / 镜月研究部A research division of Miroon Studio.
Question the problem, record the limits, and stop each claim where the evidence stops.

02 / Scope

Frontier computing, led by real questions.

We begin with network privacy and anonymous communication, while remaining attentive to security, distributed systems and adjacent problems. The scope follows the research question rather than a fixed label.

01 / NETWORK

Networks & privacy

How communication relationships, observable information and network conditions shape privacy.

02 / SYSTEM

Systems & structure

Behaviour under decentralisation, dynamic participation and unstable conditions.

03 / SECURITY

Security & limits

Threats, assumptions and claim boundaries stated without turning intent into guarantees.

04 / EVIDENCE

Experiments & review

Models, prototypes and experiments joined into an inspectable, repeatable evidence chain.

03 / Current Research

Current research: Shye.

We are studying anonymous communication under dynamic network conditions. At launch, the site publishes only the research object, its intended destination and the boundaries that matter.

Shye

Shye is an ongoing study of anonymous communication protocols. It considers networks whose relationships do not remain fixed and whose conditions keep changing, asking how a strictly centreless communication architecture can be defined, evaluated and implemented.

04 / Method

From a question to reviewable evidence.

The aim is not an attractive conclusion. The standard is whether every step can be explained, inspected and repeated.

  1. 01Question

Define the research question that actually needs answering.

  2. 02Assumptions

Expose the conditions so no claim outruns its premises.

  3. 03Model

Translate the object, environment and adversary into an analysable description.

  4. 04Experiment

Use prototypes and experiments to test what the model can explain.

  5. 05Review

Look deliberately for counterexamples, limitations and uncovered cases.

  6. 06Release

Publish a version others can verify only when the materials are ready.

05 / Principles

Freedom without abandoning responsibility.

Exploration may be radical; claims must remain restrained. Five principles guide the work and help us decide when silence is the responsible choice.

01Freedom
02Responsibility
03Verifiability
04Hacker spirit
05Pragmatism

Unverified material is labelled as such. Work that is not ready for release will not be published early merely to make a page look complete.

06 / Status & Contact

Keep the discussion about the research.

At launch, we welcome research discussion, criticism and review of the public material. Point us to a problem, a counterexample or a direction worth checking.
